About Me

Who is TenTen Shah?

I am a traditional artist who specializes in acrylic paintings and mixed media.
Taking inspiration from nature, the universe, and my state of mind; using my vision and creativity to build memorable and imaginary worlds.

I completed my Bachelor of Arts in English and Master of Public Policy from the University of California, Riverside.
After an extended break, I pursued User Experience and User Interface Design from Harness Projects.
Since my childhood, I have been passionate about creating whether it was poems, short stories, and visual art.

I am a firm believer that art is powerful, as it often times tells stories that can oftentimes be overlooked. Because art is an imprint of what we leave behind in this world; as a reflection, upon ourselves we are able to embrace art to heal, express, to tell our stories, and reflect upon our existence in this universe.

Every artist has their own methods and processes when it comes to creating art.
Personally, I love it when I am not consciously thinking about what I’m going to do. Sometimes, I like to let the art slowly formulate with every stroke. I’ll let the medium take me where it wants to go. Until things start to come together and then it makes sense.
Other times, I may come across an idea, sketch, visualize it, and then paint it out. Exploring coloring and blending techniques to bring my art piece into reality.
I think what is important as an artist is being able to express what one is trying to reflect through art. As in, “Are you satisfied with your artwork?”

I am fluent in English, intermediate Spanish, and conversational Urdu.
I learned Spanish at home, English through school, and conversational Urdu through Bollywood movies growing up.
Anime nerd here, I love to see how the manga artists and animators bring out great storylines; as well as visually stunning and heartfelt pieces of art.
